What is comparative negligence?

Video Transcription:

Florida is a pure comparative state, which means that if you’re involved in an accident and your negligence causes or contributes to that accident in some way, your recovery of damages will be limited by that negligence. But what’s important to remember that even if you are somewhat negligent or even very negligent in causing an accident that results in injuries, you’re still entitled to recover money for that portion of the accident that was not your fault.
