Are expert witnesses necessary to prove fault in a Florida truck accident case?

Video Transcription:

It’s very important to have experts involved in Florida trucking accident cases or trucking accident cases anywhere in the country. There are a number of reasons why. The truck is a much different kind of vehicle than cars. For example, trucks have air breaks, cars don’t have air breaks. Another thing that is interesting about trucks is that the trucking industry, they were the first to pioneer the use of black boxes in trucks. We’ve had the black boxes in airplanes obviously and now you hear about them in cars. When it came to motor vehicle, it was the trucking industry that first pioneered that.

We need an expert to download the data from that black box, we need an expert to help put together the reconstruction of the crash. Sometimes this even involves getting into the mechanics of the crash itself, for example, the air breaks system which I mentioned. So yes, experts are very important in trucking accident cases.
