Can car rental agencies be held liable for injuries Florida resulting from a crash that involved a rental car?

Incredibly the law changed a few years ago at the federal level. It’s eliminating rental car liability. If someone takes a rental car and goes out and hurts or kills somebody. The law used to be different, a few years it changed.

They did carve out a potential exception that states can make so that rental car companies can be held liable. In Florida, we’re working to get those changes made at the legislature level.
